If you are a heritage society or other organization, and a member of the Travel-ING ON Tourism Cooperative, we are offering your the opportunity to share the stories of your community's past on the searchable, map-based Travel-ING On Mobile app. Your organization must be a Lifetime Member to participate. The one time fee for Lifteime Membership is $25.

Use the versatile site listings to tell your community's story!

Create Walking or Driving Tours

- Add historical sites of significance with their stories.
- Create (and verify) a unique identifying keyword.
- Add the keyword to your promotional literature, and on the text of each site.
- When app users search this keyword a map of your chosen sites is produced.
Create Self-Guided Cemetery Tours
- Create biographies and stories of the people who made a significant historical contribution to your region to their.
- Add the stories to their grave site, using specific GPS coordinates.
- When the app user visit the cemetery they can simply touch the 'Near Me' option on the app and access the story, photos or links that you have added.
Identify Buildings and Places of Significance.
- As a traveller I have noticed old barns, churches, brick buildings and other structures that intereset me. Using the mobile app to tell the story of a building - when was it built - why was it built - what businesses or people used the building and other information tells the story of your community, and engages people as they shop local businesses and services.

These are a few suggestions. The versatility of site listings and keywords allows your organization to share your story in a variety of ways.

Lifetime Member is required to take advantage of this complimentary service. If you are not already a member you can apply here. The cost is a one-time fee of $25.

This is a new initiative as of April 2025. We welcome suggestions and comments!
Included in our scheduled improvements with the mobile app, is the ability to allow approved members to add or edit their own heritage sites. This allows you to update information, reference and links easily.
There is no limiti to the number of sites you can add.
If you have told the story on your website, give an intro to the story at the place(s) the story happened, and add the link. The user can read the complete story there.
Images should not be larger than 2500 pixels square; 60 x 40 pixels, 40 x 60 pixels, or 50 x 50 pixeis.
Images should be in a JPG format.
If you have submitted your logo on previous sites, you may indicate that you have done so in the text reference space.
